SF INDIAN CENTER IS HIRING A SEASONAL PART-TIME ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Overview: The Santa Fe Indian Center is hiring seasonal PT Administrative Assistant to perform general office duties, answering phone and emails, data entry and updating lists, social media updates, assisting with food distributions, sorting and soliciting donations, event assistance (when resumed), newsletters and updating website (training available if needed), other duties as assigned. This position is funded by the National Indian Youth Council and applicants must meets specific requirements such as: Be 18+ years of age, have a Native American with proof of enrollment, have a GED or high school diploma and meet the income eligibility guidelines. Location: Santa Fe Indian Center Office, 1420 Cerrillos Road
Start Date: Immediately
Hours: 20 hours per week; 4 hours per day Monday through Friday, 10am-2pm
Pay: Minimum Wage - $12.10/hour

Santa Fe Indian Center (SFIC) is an organization that provides services and programs to the Native community of Santa Fe County. Founded in 2018, the SFIC has grown its programs to include family & cultural events, distributions of food and clothing, youth programs, Emergency Financial Assistance, lectures & movies, fundraising events and more.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing our current programming includes bi-weekly distributions of food and care bundles. We are taking in applications for emergency financial assistance for those currently facing financial hardships.
Answer phone and check emails daily. Data entry and creating newsletters. Tracking, sorting and storing donations. Writing thank you letters. Processing applications. Solicitation of donations and volunteers. Assisting with food and care bundle distributions. Some office organization. Other general office duties as assigned.
GED or High school diploma. Some college preferred but not required. Must be friendly and willing to assist the general public. Multi-tasker and able to work independently. Must be familiar with MS Office programs, Facebook, Instagram. Native American preference.
This is an in-office position and with the current COVID-19 restrictions, business is conducted mostly by email, phone and scheduled drop-offs of donations and applications.
OTHER HELPFUL SKILLS
Creating newsletters (Mailchimp), creating flyers, website management (Go Daddy) – will train if needed.
